Self-Car in Self-Build
Harriet Rose Morley
By means of collective building based on blueprints for open source furniture, Harriet Rose Morley has updated HMK’s reception area with furniture and a
new bar. The project explores notions of ownership and connection between institutions and the public, and facilitates the conversation about value and ownership over the objects created during the workshops. Moreover, Self-Care in Self-Build departs from the idea that by taking care of the space, the space, in return also takes care of the staff, the guests and the local community.
