Choir recital led by Marinet Koeman
Thursday, 6 June 2024, 17:00-18:00
(no reservations needed, everyone is welcome)
Now lie down dearest in the garden,
the empty spaces in the tall grass,
I've always wished I was,
an empty place for someone
to stay.
Did you know that plants can perceive sound? Some pieces of music even have an effect on how they grow! As part of the exhibition Green, green, - grass! by Sveske Ourø, a full female choir, led by Marinet Koeman, comes to sing to the different grass species with free sounds, created by improvising. With these sounds, the choir expresses their gratitude to the water, air, earth, and fire (sun), the elements that make the grass grow. Join us on Thursday 6 June at 17:00!
Marinet Koeman is a qualified singing teacher and music therapist.
Poem: Rutger Kopland, ‘XIV, Ga nu maar liggen liefste’, translation. In: Een lege plek om te blijven, 1975, Van Oorschot Publishers.
