Happy New Year!

Hotel Maria Kapel is delighted to enter the new year with the 2022 programma Connective tissue and the group of artists in residence with whom we’re going to explore much-needed notions of repair and healing. We would also like to officially welcome Inez Piso as interim artistic director of HMK, replacing Tirza Kater since December 2021 with developing the projects for the coming year.

Big thanks to Tirza, for her work with the 2021 programme On Shelter; to our board: Falke Pisano (chair), Maja Bekan, Klaas Visser and Suat Öğüt, for continuously navigating HMK through the landscape; and of course all the people who have been so dedicated to supporting us with all our endeavours in changing times: Henk, Noes, Bart, Margriet, Wout, Louis, Ewoud, Robbert, Tim and Dimitra. Your commitment has been indispensable!

*Currently, HMK’s doors are closed but we would like to take this opportunity to welcome our first artist in residence for 2022: Dasha Golova. In the coming weeks, she will be working on a new installation in our beloved chapel space. More on this will follow soon, keep an eye on our website and social media!
